over1100Children & Adults
UCPCC was founded in 1954 by a group of community volunteers and parents of persons with cerebral palsy. We began with one program that served 15 children with cerebral palsy in a small building on the corner of Abby and Divisadero in downtown Fresno.
We have grown to serve over 1,100 children and adults with a broad range of disabilities, including cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, autism, traumatic brain injuries and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. We offer 9 multi-disciplinary programs in 6 Central California Counties, each designed to fulfill our mission of advancing the independence, productivity and full citizenship of persons with disabilities.
We are an affiliate of UCP National.

COMMUNITY
COMMUNITY
THIS ISN’T JUST ABOUT A BUILDING
IT’S ABOUT A COMMUNITYUCPCC brings students together for activities outside of the home. This integral daily interaction prepares them for life outside our doors, and we seek to engage the larger community by creating a communal space for all to enjoy.
WEST FAMILY“It was our daughter Karen who is a special ed teacher who introduced us to UCP while she was trying to find a community of adults with similar challenges as my daughter Lori Ann. Now, 35 plus years later, it’s not just ‘Lori Ann’s go-to’ place,’ its become an extension of the entire West Family!”

GROWTH
HELPING EVERYONE MEET THEIR FULL POTENTIAL
Expanding our space means expanding our programs and services to help even more individuals and families, as well as hosting larger community events. In order to grow and reach our potential, we need a campus that has the space to give our students access to the increased programs they deserve.
VICTOR PEREZ“I’ve been with UCP for over 23 years, and I’m still thrilled every time I help a parent or family make a new connection or we develop a new plan or strategy to help their child reach another milestone in their development.”
